JL Home Builders completed interior work for a children’s aviation museum. The space is built around a flight theme, with runway markings in the carpet, aircraft murals on the walls, a cockpit style flight simulator, rows of airline seating and glass display cases for exhibits.
The Space
An exhibit floor designed to hold the attention of kids and families.
The finished space pairs a dark open ceiling and recessed lighting with charcoal carpet, orange accent tiles and a white runway stripe that leads visitors from exhibit to exhibit. Walls are finished in white and blue, with large aviation murals and a pilot display near the entrance.
The Result
A bright, open museum with room for hands on exhibits.
The floor plan leaves space for a flight simulator, airline seating, a map table and display cases without feeling crowded. The entry uses matching carpet tile, so the aviation theme starts right at the front door.
